Trina Mottolo honored for performance at patriotic Viera community

Trina Mottolo, Administrative Assistant at Indian River Colony Club, has been named the 2024 Employee of the Year by the 55+ Viera golf community for military veterans.

(VIERA, FL) January 20, 2025 – Trina Mottolo has been named the 2024 Employee of the Year for Indian River Colony Club, the Viera 55+ golf community for military veterans. An employee since 2021, Ms. Mottolo was recognized during the community’s December membership meeting and presented with a $500 monetary award. Mottolo is an administrative assistant in the maintenance department at Indian River Colony Club, with duties that include tracking work orders, training and providing exceptional customer service to the member-residents of the nearly 800-home neighborhood.

Michelle Edwards, Chief Financial Officer, was happy to explain some of what makes Mottolo an outstanding employee for the East Central Florida community of military veterans.

“Trina is a dedicated employee with great problem-solving skills,” said Ms. Edwards. “Most recently, she assisted with the integration of our new membership work order system. Trina is a great fit here at Indian River Colony Club and a natural choice for Employee of the Year.”

All 120 full-time employees of Indian River Colony Club are eligible for the annual award. Department managers each nominate an exceptional member of their team and then cast votes for the most exemplary employee. The Employee of the Year award is sponsored by the not-for-profit Indian River Colony Club Foundation. The purpose of the IRCC Foundation is to provide grants for educational, medical, emergency, and other charitable purposes to employees and residents of IRCC and to organizations that assist individuals who are current or former members of the Uniformed Services of the United States.

Viera’s very first neighborhood, Indian River Colony Club is known as “The Place Patriots Call Home.”  A haven for military veterans, the par-72 private golf course community has a patriotic culture and country club amenities for active adults aged 55 and over.
