IRCC is a magical place. When we moved into IRCC, we didn’t really expect to make it our home for the rest of our lives. We were much younger and thought it would be a good place to live for a while, sell it, make a few dollars, and move on to another ‘dream’ home. On our first night, we went to happy hour, met lots of people close to our age, laughed for several hours, had dinner, and went home. Over the next few weeks, our neighbors welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like we were part of their family. We had no experience living on a base or learning from neighbors what we needed to know about a new location. In fact, it was just the opposite. Most places we lived, we barely knew our neighbors. IRCC was different. By the end of our first year, we were very attached to our new friends and felt like we belonged. Having an amazing maintenance service is wonderful, but that is not what made us realize we had something very special in IRCC. It is hard to put into words. IRCC has a feeling of warmth, security, camaraderie, and deep belonging – what most call family. It took us a long time to find what we proudly tell you IS our magical, forever home.
